If you are exposed to a very loud noise as part of your job, you need to start wearing ear protection devise. If you went on hunting or shooting practice and you did your shooting without shooting ear protection, you probably felt the damage that can be caused by the loud noise produced by guns. Most people working in a factory with lots of heavy machinery running, they surely can feel the strain of being subjected to loud noises for extended period of time. These type of ear protection devices are used by in-flight professionals. The devices cancel unwanted noises while enhancing the quality of some sounds that are supposed to reach the individual’s ear. The devices use an electronic system to control and adjust these sounds.
Band Type Hearing Protectors
These types of ear protections are used to in places where you need more convenient ways to perform your task such us in industries where you may be required to be in a narrow spaces. The device band rest on back of neck below chin and the actual ear protection is in ears.
Communication Headsets
Communication headsets can reduce unwanted background noise at certain range and allow sounds in another range. This operating principle of these devices allow the headsets to allow communication of the person whose wearing the device with co worker while effectively reducing unwanted noise.
Ear Caps
Ear caps are similar to ear bands. They are meant for people who need more convenience while wearing ear protection device. These devices are small soft plastics that go into ear without reaching ear canals and they are kept in place with a band that rest on the back of wearers neck or the can be simply caps that covers ear without any extensions. They are used to reduce wide range noise level.
Ear Muffs
Ear muffs block unwanted noise by completely covering and sealing ear area. They are most common types of ear protections used during shooting practices and hunting. Ear muffs are convenient to wear and temporarily remove them when you don’t need them. They also come with electronic enhancements to bring the effect of active noise canceling headsets.
Disposable Ear Plugs
Disposable ear plugs effectively block all sound by entering a person’s ear cannel and expand to take the shape of the person’s ear cannel. They are most appropriate for workers who my need a lot of convenience to do their job, such as factory workers.
Reusable Ear Plugs
Reusable ear plugs are made in a conical shape a lot similar to Christmas tree. Usually they are used my factory workers. Unlike disposable ear plugs, they can be cleaned and kept in a small plastic box for future use.
